Life, as I know it.

I watched a video made by youtube few days ago- "Life in a Day", and this video opened up my eyes once more.

The world is made up of, well, all 196 countries.

Though we have our own lives, living everyday the way we want;
Some days can be boring, as in nothing, literally, has happened to us; some can be exciting, and those days are kept deep in our memories.

Every second, all kinds of things are happening around the world.
From the moment we open our eyes when we wake up, to the moment we close our eyes, the world just does not stop.

All around the world, everyone is doing different things.
We might have an idea of what our friends and families might be doing.
For a person who lives in a city, he could expect rush hour traffics and start his hectic day;
but did he ever stop and think, what could the people living in the slums be doing?

When we are enjoying our lunch, people from some parts of the world are hunting for food.
When we play video games, some are watching puppet shows.
When we are about to sleep, some are still partying.
When we see deaths on the news, new babies are born.

The whole world just does not stop, even when we though nothing happened.
The.World.Is.Just.Awesome.

Competency

It's such a heavy word, isn't it?

Competency creates all sorts of emotions.

Joy, sadness, hate, arrogance...

I have a lot of friends,

But only 6, or less, are real and true.

Haven't finish studying,

Yet I am already full of debts

Societal pressures from family and friends,

Work prospects are unknown.

Personal goal not precise enough.

It's like being in a dark cave with sharp rocks all around,

Not knowing which way to go, or where to step on.

One wrong step causes excruciating pain and sorrow.

And the fear of taking another step,

blurs myself away even more.

I always tell myself:

Learn and you shall get,

Get and you shall conquer,

Conquer and you shall rule.

And to learn,

Takes discipline.

I'll get through this,

Starting by plan.

Something I would like to tell my best-est friend.

No, it's not for you Sez Kien, Sorry. But you know very well we're basically brothers ;)

Yilin, this post is for you. You might think it's a confession (well yea it is, according to dictionaries) but you should take this... as a compliment.

(to other readers: Just in case you think that I'm chasing after Yilin, I'm not. She's my best friend and I respect her and her relationship with her BF)

I hated you at first, then you became one of the most important people of my life.

Yea, I HAD a crush on you (and I told you this so it's no big deal right?)(; but after having known that you already have a boyfriend, I set my boundaries around you.

This is not about me liking you, this is about how much you mean to me.

You have been around me during Foundation, and you never leave(ditch lol) me for someone else (in college). :)

(Sez Kien is excluded from this story, so it counts.. haha :p)

You are.. Cute and sweet, and there's no denying over it. I'm jealous of your boyfriend; not because you are his girlfriend, but because he has a girlfriend that's extremely sweet!

You're forgetful, and that's why I scold you from time to time (I know you don't like me nagging; but hey, it could be a lot worse if you left your iPhone where ever you go!).

You treat me like no one else do, giving me the feel of being cared by somebody.

(I'm not trying to be sweet, I'm saying out the truth!)

You don't mind sharing your feelings with me and you want me to share mine with you! Every time though, I pretended being fine around you even when I'm feeling blue, and would just share my happy moments.

You're in fact a very helpful person (and I thank you, for everything you've done), I just rarely ask you for your help.

(Actually I tend to deal with most things on my own.)

We hold no secrets to each other (I guess); I always tell you the truth.

One best thing I learned from you is how to treat a girl nicely, even when it's redundant (not necessary). And every time when you say that I could be a very good boyfriend, I'd get too happy that I'd just stay quiet (it's because I didn't know how to react).

You and me, we're like brothers and sisters, like family. (NOT SISTERS! I DONT WANT TO BE A GIRL!)

And I can say, besides my mother, you're the closest person to me.

Yes I value our friendship, and there is no other girl that is capable of replacing you.

(except when I got a girlfriend, but still you are still going to be the 3rd most important person ok...haha)

Dream. I

Okay, I had a dream yesterday.
1st dream of that kind... special, but I dont know which category it falls into.. mixture of nightmare and good dreams XD..
so I feel like writting it down.

I was being chased by a dragon or something and I was totally freaked out. I was in an alley or some place with buildings, so I tried to lose the dragon by running into corners and hide behind walls. There was one clear image that me hiding behind a low wall and the dragon is looking for me across the wall. I quitely stood up and wanted to sneak pass that dragon, then, the dragon must had sensed I was behind her and looked at me with her BIG EYES! (Like the eye fill up the computer screen if anyone is reading this, and the screen is like my view.)
WHOA!
so I ran to the end of the alley, saw an elevator and I just jumped in.
"What the heck! why won't the door close!!!!!!!!!!"
looking at the dragon coming towards me (forgot if it's flying or running), I was totally terrified.
"That's it.. bye bye world" ,She got into the elevator with me. (not sure how.. seemed like she shrunk into human size)
Looking at me, she transformed into a GIRL! (not sure who.. but certainly a girl I know :p)
"wow.. you sure look beautiful" I said in chinese XD
"owh. that's so sweet" she replied in english, and gave me A HUG!

I can still remember the feeling, the moment she gave me that hug..
It felt... relieving, comfort, like I could forget all the sad things!

The elevator took us to a parking lot.. there, was a man.. white hair, cowboy hat, long white mustache, standing beside a Mini.
Then the next thing I remember is I'm driving that car... it's a manual shift.. umm I was having fun driving it.. it's a convertable too.. no roof, so I can feel the wind.

And there was where the dream ended.

"Tonight, I would like to thanks some people for making this trip from a seemingly trashed plan, into a very nice journey for all of us. I know, Unexpected things happens during the last minute, which in this case, it did. I was tensed by the pressure of losing control of the situation (I have the tendency to have things go the way I expect.) I was losing hope for this plan, but hope, was there for us. :D"

"I want to thank Wye Xiang, for providing us information and some really good ideas, simple ideas but I just... missed them XD"

"Wye Xiang's uncle, and his beloved wife, for their warming welcome for us to stay in their wonderful house. (Really great place. But a little stuffy.)"

Oh how will I miss to thank the best person of all for this time,
Jie Ying! You, really really really was spectacular in this. No I am not being bias but when everyone was giving up, calling off the trip, you were the one that kept your stand the whole time. (If it's how I remembered)
But then, you are truly a cool and matured person; you had done a lot of things on your own, not many pushing-around and really, very few of my friends are like that.

This is something new for me to learn from you.

Nightmares

I keep having this dream- I don't know what I was doing but my finger suddenly snapped and my skin peeled off revealing my finger bone! In dreams pain can be felt and yea, I felt the pain!

The sensation, the pain is so real that I actually panicked even when I woke up. I just cannot find the difference.

Hope that dream won't haunt me for long.
